The Strategic Planning Lie That’s Keeping Banks Mediocre [VIDEO]
Roxanne Emmerich exposes the toxic lie behind most strategic plans—and the second-order thinking top banks use to pull away from the pack.
With the current competition for good people, it’s never been more important for you to elevate the productivity per employee.
Let’s face it, not everybody’s going to get all the A’s superstars attracted to their team.
We’re going to need to make some people into superstars by teaching them the right systems, approaches, and making sure your systems align to create great results, regardless of whether you have mere mortals on your team.
That’s called running a great bank franchise.
Yet most banks are strung together with several different processes built upon the most recent conference that they attended, nothing ties together, and they’re wondering why they’re not bringing their efficiency ratio down while they’re paying the people top dollars.
Well, it doesn’t have to be that way anymore.
There’s a huge opportunity for you to learn and discover the best systems to help your people be more productive.
Here’s one idea to get you started.
Do all of your team members have the three critical drivers that are appropriate and the learning that drives them there?
Please don’t demand accountability unless you have an ongoing blended learning program designed for the outcome that builds their confidence and that they’re hitting the numbers.
We’ve all seen those banks that bring in accountability and have a train wreck because one-third of the people walk out the door.
You can have that kind of expense today!
Instead, you have to take the mere mortals and get them there by working through the organizational development processes to grow their confidence, grow their learning, and build systems to make sure the right systems are being applied.
Let’s face it, you deserve to run a high-performing bank, and the only way to do that is to get more profit per employee.
The only way to do that is to be much more thorough in your thinking about the integration of stage-appropriate learning with stage-appropriate accountability, blended learning, systems of culture, and accountability, all tied together to the value of your organization and to your strategic plan.
That’s no small feat, but the juice is worth the squeeze.
Creating a sustainable system means it’s easy to read during good times and bad.
I have an upcoming complimentary masterclass on this subject, and I hope to see you there!
